spring awakening.

Spring 2009 runway photos and more, plus my own unnecessary comments.

Let's look at menswear first. I love the red collar in this coat. It totally pops out from the all-black ensemble.

I am totally digging this whole androgynous look. I like the play on volume in the jacket, and the narrow pants. This looks really good.

This white rose "helmet" is by Chanel. No surprise there. It looks so elaborate but it is so gorgeously executed, and the plain white dress matches very well, too.

Can you say ultra expensive lingerie? Ah, well, it's supposed to be a dress, but look at the detailing. The sheerness of the fabric makes it look even more delicate... and a little dominatrix-meets-romantic.

I love love love this coat! And the yellow dress! Pastel colors overload, but I like it.

Anyone who doesn't like this silhouette is a big idiot. I've seen this kind of ensemble before, but the edgy lines here are just epic.

The whole concept of this trench coat is superfreakishly brilliant. And pretty. The paintbrush strokes add a quirky little touch to the classic trench coat.

This outfit reminds me of the 70's for some odd reason. Maybe it's because of the model and her hair? I dunno. But what she's wearing is certainly prettyyy.

I'm not really sure about this look. I mean, I love that kind of floral print, but the way the pieces were put together is kind of all over the place. Looks a bit messy to me. I do like the belt, the black neck bow and the skirt. Cute.

Christian Dior, why do you always do this to me? Your clothes always get me short of breath, and this is certainly no exception. This "bridal gown" is so simple yet charming yet beautiful yet effortless yet stunning.

This is my first time doing fashion commentary (on blogs), so you'll have to forgive me for all the vague descriptions and sudden gushes of delight.

Ciao.
